The number of adult males who are circumcised/intact does not represent current practice.

Official government statistics are available for about 43 states. There is a map that shows the most recent circumcision statistics. One has to pass one's cursor over the map to see the numbers which popup when the cursor passes over.

The practice of circumcision in the United States has been declining slowly for a long time. It also varies widely from state to state. Nevada reports the lowest incidence of circumcision at 11 percent and West Virginia the highest at 86 percent. Twelve states report circumcision rates of 50 percent or less, so non-circumcision, genital integrity, or intactness is becoming the norm in those states among the younger males. There is a lot more foreskin around now than formerly.

The most recent government statistics placed the circumcision rate at 54.7 percent in 2010, but the incidence of circumcision is believed to be somewhat lower now.
