It's like any personal odor. Smells fine to the owner, but not so much to others. Wash gently (no soap!), and infrequently under the skin, unless you expect oral attention. Then a thorough rinse will be appreciated.

I'm wondering what the "under foreskin" smells like to different people.  I think mine smells slightly tangy.  If I haven't washed for more than 2 days, then it can smell a little like cheese.  My wife says it smells like "figs" (the fruit).  If I haven't cleaned up after ejaculating, then it can smell fishy, like a vagina after a few hours.
